01 Feb 2010
Equipment provided by Thorns Group will be coming to a stage near you thanks to TV chefs The Hairy Bikers.
The group, which has offices in Birmingham, Manchester and London, has provided the Big Night Out Tour with a range of catering equipment, as The Hairy Bikers
embark on their first stage tour across the UK.
Among the equipment provided is the popular mahogany gothic chair, classic Perception wine glasses, Martini glasses, the stylish Sonata range of china and the elegant Muscagni cutlery.
TV Chefs Simon King and Dave Myers, stars of BBC Two’s The Hairy Bikers Cookbook, The Hairy Bikers Ride Again, The Hairy Bikers Come Home and The Hairy Baker, will be touring theatres for an
“
evening of cooking, chatting and laughs
”.The tour started on the 30th January in Birmingham’s Town Hall and continues to make its way around the country to its final stop on the 11th April at The Swan in High Wycombe. Darren Jackson, Account Manager at Thorns Group, said: “We are delighted to be involved in The Hairy Bikers stage tour. The duo is famed for their love of food and travelling on motorcycles in search of great dishes. We are proud to be associated with them. “Preparations for the tour have been ongoing since December, and we have worked very closely with the show organisers to work out what would look best on camera. With a wide range of equipment to choose from, we were able to suggest a number of ranges of china and cutlery that in our experience works best on camera.” Thorns is no stranger to working with the stars on film and television sets. The group has previously supplied furniture and catering equipment to popular programmes such as Holby City, Big Brother and Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.
