Camden joins the crew for world-famous boat show

Camden Exhibition Services has been signed up to play a bigger-than-ever part at the forthcoming Southampton Boat Show.

The business will serve as official furniture supplier to the 2006 event, which promises a host of spectacular attractions for the tens of thousands of visitors who are expected to attend between September 15 and 24.
 
The organisers have asked Camden – part of leading events and exhibitions supplier Thorns Group – to increase the amount of equipment it supplies following a successful working relationship established during recent shows.
 
Camden, which has invested in new stock for use at the event, will supply furniture for a new champagne bar in addition to traditional areas of the site such as VIP hospitality suites, exhibitors’ hall, organisers’ offices, sponsors’ areas, seafood restaurant and various lounges and bars.
 
Items to be supplied to Southampton for the first time by Camden include a stunning range of office furniture that has been introduced in a cherry wood finish. Individual items in the range to be used for the boat show include desks, pedestals and lockable cupboards.
 
Elsewhere on the site Camden will supply large quantities of stock that includes cane furniture, beech and chrome occasional chairs, bar furniture, teak café furniture and teak garden furniture.
 
Camden Exhibition Services’ Head of Exhibitions Adam Aston explained: “For the 2006 boat show we’ll be responding to the growing demand for chrome and natural wood furniture. We’ll also be providing organisers with items in their corporate blue, in order to tie in with the official colours of the event.”
 
He added: “Having been appointed official furniture supplier to the Southampton Boat Show for the first time in 2004 we have gone from strength to strength in subsequent years. The 2006 event looks set to be the best ever – both for the show itself and for Camden.”
