Thorns signs up for pioneering new gay lifestyle show
10 Oct 2005
Thorns Group has been appointed official furniture supplier to the Modern Life Show 2005, a dazzling new wedding and lifestyle exhibition aimed at the gay community, their friends and family.
The group’s furniture is due to feature prominently at the innovative event, which is expected to attract more than 20,000 visitors to London’s Business Design Centre on November 19 and 20.
With the show intended to become an annual fixture, organisers are hosting a range of special themed zones reflecting subjects such as health & fitness, home & leisure, law & legal and honeymoon & travel.
Each zone will have its own unique style and the exhibition will feature daily catwalk shows, music performances, live demonstrations and makeovers as well as themed bars and eateries.
The inaugural Modern Life Show is also expected to enjoy considerable prominence because it is being staged just days before the highly publicised Civil Partnership Act – which grants equal legal rights to same-sex unions as to marriage – comes into effect. Leading industry experts will be on hand to explain the Act in full and also advise on wills, mortgages, immigration and employment law.
Adam Aston, Thorns Group’s Account Manager, said: “We are delighted to be playing such a key role at the Modern Life Show. The event promises to offer visitors a really fun and informative day out. This latest contract is a tremendous boost for Thorns Group and follows a hectic summer season for the company.”
