Thorns is tickled pink by colourful Grand Designs contract

Thorns Group made a colourful impression at the Grand Designs Live exhibition at London’s ExCeL after more than 50 items from its new Vision range of furniture were ordered – in vivid pink!
The furniture, supplied with bright red seat pads, was used in the seminar areas of the three-day event, which was launched as a spin-off from the popular Channel Four programme Grand Designs. The exhibition was divided into four sections, including kitchens & bathrooms, gardens and build. The final section – interiors – focused on the influence of colour on the home.
Thorns Group’s order marked just the latest breakthrough for the Vision range, which has been put to use at a range of exhibitions since making its debut this spring.
Billy O’Connell, Thorns Group’s Head of Sales, said: “We’ve seen a great increase in demand for brightly coloured furniture in recent months. The Vision range has proved particularly popular because of its tremendous versatility. We’ve received orders in a wide array of colours, including greens, pinks, browns, blues, white and magenta.”
The Vision range, which was devised in-house by Thorns Group’s own design team, has already been used at a number of events and exhibitions – including RSVP, the Safety & Health Expo and global security event IFSEC. The range received rave reviews when it debuted at this spring’s industry trade shows.
